if your relic arrives injured
while every piece is packaged with great care and love before beginning its journey, but sometimes the travel can still be rough.. for all purchases over $100, please film the unboxing process and photograph the packaging upon arrival. this documentation is required for insurance claims and helps the studio support you more quickly if damage occurs during transit.
if damage occurs during transit, please contact the studio within 48 hours of delivery with photos or videos of the damage.
packages valued over $100 are automatically insured. please note that insurance claims are ultimately handled through the shipping carrier and outcomes may vary depending on their policies.
if issues arise during the claiming process, seiu studio is always happy to communicate and work together toward the best solution together.
re-homing & returns
all pieces are handmade and one of a kind, so all sales are final.
small variation, textures, and imperfection are part of the nature of the work and are considered part of each piece's natural birth marks and story.
if your piece arrives injured during transit please referred to "if your relic arrives injured" section.
caring for your vessels and sculptures
many pieces are finished with gold luster and should be treated gently over time. hand washing isrecommended to preserve the metallic surface and delicate details. pieces with gold luster are not microwave or dishwasher safe.
some glazes are intentionally made to crackle, shift, and evolve with age. small changes in texture or surface are part of the material's natural story.
with time, touch, and use, areas of gold luster may slowly soften or fade. this is completely natural and simply means the piece has lived a full little life with you.
small sculptures and miniature works may be a choking hazard for children under 3 years old. please keep delicate pieces from small children and curious animals.
notes from the studio
each piece is made slowly by hand through multiple firings and travels through temporary studios, residencies, and shifting spaces before finding its home.
small variations in glaze, color, texture, shape, or surface are natural parts of the process and make each piece one of a kind.
certain sculptural works may contain tiny cracks, irregularities, or marks taht emerge during firing. unless otherwise noted, these are considered part of the material's natural story rather than defects.
when a piece contains more visible crack or unusual firing marks, it will always be communicated clearly in the listing photos and descriptions so you can adopt with work with care and understanding.
thank you for supporting slow handmade artwork and the wandering life that allows these special objects to exist.
